Eric was a terrific tour guide. I loved that we got to see parts of Portland that we wouldn’t otherwise get to see. It was a very nice experience. Portland is lucky to have a hometown community builder and tour guide like Eric.
We had a great time during our tour yesterday. This is a young family-owned company, but wise in so many ways. Our driver, Chris, is a native-born “Portlander” with a wealth of knowledge about the city and its history, the lighthouses we visited and personal anecdotes to color the tour. Questions are encouraged and answers quick and knowledgeable. Totally enjoyable and interesting!
Had as great overview of Portland, Maine; and being from California was very impressed with the lighthouses. Eric was our driver/guide (he is a local) and did a great job of showing us the highlights. Within walking distance of the cruise port, and there is a nice pub (Portland Beer Hub) on the corner of the meeting place.
We had such a wonderful time on this tour. Eric was very knowledgeable about the area's history and sites. He has great suggestions on local places to eat, drink and shop. The 3 lighthouses were beautiful. This is a great way to see the highlights of Portland and then go exploring more yourself if you have time.
This was a delightful experience. the driver Eric was great in talking about the Portland sights we were passing. Enough time to walk around and explore the beautiful Lighthouse park settings.
Very nice comfortable van with only 9 passengers.
I would recommend this for anyone.
Eric provided a great and personal tour tailoring comments and ideas to the personalities of the group. Made an extra stop for a bakery treat. His love for the city and personal experiences make the tour feel like you are traveling with a friend. Loved his suggestions for other places in the city to eat and shop and we went to them. Highly recommend!
I would have given 5 stars but the tour was too rushed. The tour guide and his family own the tour company and he said he would speak to his sister about extending the time allotted for each light house visit.
Eric is the driver/tour-guide. He provided a smooth, detailed, enjoyable description and historical background of what we were seeing. He encouraged questions. We found our tour time just flew by. Groups are limited to eleven so one doesn’t feel like part of a cattle drive at each stop.
I highly recommend this tour and early in one’s visit to Portland.
Had a great time. Eric was very nice and well informed. The bus was comfortable and having a small group met that everyone got the attention they needed. Would recommend
